Your data and privacy

This page is for people who signed up for Parafoil on their own. Our Privacy Policy is the full legal statement. This page answers the common questions in plain language.

Who sees what

Your feedback, your read, your meetings and their transcripts are private to you. Nobody else can see them, including your manager, your colleagues and your company.

The only thing anyone else can see is a card you choose to share, and only while you share it. See Sharing how you lead.

People at Parafoil don't read your meetings to give you feedback. Your meetings are analyzed automatically. To improve the quality of our analysis, people at Parafoil may review de-identified excerpts, as the Privacy Policy describes. If you ask us for help with something, we may look at what you've asked about.

Is my data used to train AI?

Your meetings aren't used to train AI models unless your organization agrees. Our AI providers are contractually and technically prevented from training on them.

Data we receive from Google, such as your calendar or a Google Meet transcript you pick, is never used to train AI models.

Delete a meeting

1. Go to Settings > Meetings.
2. Under Your meetings, find the meeting and choose Delete.
3. Choose Delete Meeting to confirm.

The meeting's transcript and everything Parafoil found in it are removed, including Ask Parafoil answers that cite it. This can't be undone. A meeting from Zoom or Fathom won't come back on the next sync.

Deleting a meeting doesn't give a free meeting back.

Meetings waiting for a subscription

After your free meetings, new meetings wait until you subscribe. We keep them for 30 days in case you do. After 30 days with no subscription, they're deleted the same way as a meeting you delete yourself.

Disconnect a source

• Zoom or Fathom: go to Settings > Integrations and choose Disconnect. Tick the box if you also want to delete the meetings it brought in.
• Your calendar: go to Settings > Integrations and choose Disconnect Google Calendar. You can also remove Parafoil from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Google Meet picker: Parafoil keeps no access to your Drive. Its access ends once the transcripts you picked are read.
• The Parafoil app: quit the app and delete it from your Applications folder. Meetings it already analyzed stay until you delete them.

Delete your account

Email privacy@parafoil.co from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We delete your account, your meetings and their transcripts and audio, your feedback and your share cards, and we disconnect your calendar.

If you have a subscription, we cancel it before we delete your account, so you aren't charged again. Stripe keeps the invoices for your past payments, which we need for tax and accounting.

You can ask for a copy of your data, or for something to be corrected, by emailing privacy@parafoil.co.

Security

Parafoil is SOC 2 Type II compliant and independently audited. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our SOC 2 report and list of sub-processors are in our Trust Center.
