We recommend always letting people know before Parafoil analyzes a meeting, and asking for their consent.

What happens to a meeting

Parafoil transcribes the meeting audio and analyzes it to give the manager private feedback on how they led. The organization sees team-level patterns only, never an individual's feedback, transcripts or audio. To improve the quality of our analysis, people at Parafoil may review de-identified excerpts, and your organization can opt out. For the full details, read our Privacy Policy.

Letting people know

Parafoil includes tools that help you tell the people you meet with. Your organization's admin can turn these on for everyone, or you can turn them on for yourself.

Your responsibilities

Depending on where the people in your meeting are, the law may require their consent before a meeting is transcribed. Rules differ between states and countries, and some require everyone in the conversation to agree.

Complying with consent laws is your responsibility. Whether or not the law requires it, we encourage you to ask everyone you meet with, including your direct reports, before Parafoil analyzes the conversation.
