Starting on your own

You can sign up for Parafoil yourself, without your organization buying it. It takes a few minutes, and your first read comes from meetings you already have.

Sign up

Go to parafoil.co/sign-up and choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft. Use the account you use for work, so Parafoil can see the calendar your meetings are on.

If you have an invite from your company, use the link in your invite email instead. If your company already uses Parafoil, a personal sign-up with a company email can't be set up, and the sign-up page says so.

The quiz

Next comes a short quiz on how you think you lead. Tap the answer that sounds most like you, and the next question follows. You can skip it with Skip for Now and come back later.

At the end you see your most natural leadership style, as you see it. This is a starting point. Your meetings come next, and they show how you actually lead.

Bring your meetings

Parafoil needs meetings to read. Choose one way to bring them in:

• The Parafoil app for Mac, which analyzes new meetings from your own computer
• Zoom or Fathom, if you already have meetings there
• Google Meet transcripts, picked from your Google Drive
• Upload a transcript from Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, Teams or Google Meet, or paste one from Granola

Each one is explained in Bringing in your meetings. Up to 20 meetings from before you signed up are analyzed without using your free meetings.

The bets

While your meetings are being analyzed, you make three bets about yourself, such as how much of the talking you think you do. Your meetings settle each bet, so you'll see how close you were.

Your read

When your meetings are in, you see your read:

1. What your meetings say about how you lead
2. How your bets landed
3. How you lead, with the style you reach for most
4. One thing to try in your next meetings
5. Who you want to lead better first

At the end you can share a card about how you lead, or go straight to your dashboard. Your read stays on your dashboard either way. Sharing is covered in Sharing how you lead.

After your read

From then on, each meeting you bring in is analyzed, and you get private feedback on how it went. Your first 5 new meetings are free. Free meetings and billing explains what happens after that.

On your dashboard you can choose styles you'd like to grow in. Most leaders use several, and you can pick as many as you like, or none. You can change them any time in Settings > Profile & Leadership.
